Iran’s Supreme Leader visited Mapna one day before the International Workers’ Day on Wednesday.
Stressing the importance of economic independence, ayatollah Khamenei said "Once we needed 20-pct enriched uranium for the Tehran Research Power Plant and for drugs that people needed. We were willing to buy it, but the bullies of the world, and the US on the top of all, put spokes in the wheel.”
"When the Islamic Republic girded its loins to produce 20-pct uranium they would not believe it. But now that the country’s youth have, thanks to their intelligence and initiative, been able to reach that technology under sound management, producing even fuel cylinders and sheets, all the world’s powers say ‘We are ready to sell it to you, do not produce,’” he added.
Stating that the world is taken by power struggle and bad pretention, Khamenei said "The world bullies’ illogical behavior against the Islamic Republic is a function of our weakness and strength. Whenever we stand on our own and are powerful, they will have to behave politely and logically. Realizing this fact is the key to solving the country’s entire problems.”
The Supreme Leader further added "Strength, in any section of the country it may be, will bring about the inevitable revocation of sanctions. Any new field we make progress in makes the enemy realize more and more that the sanctions are futile.”
