Tehran, YJC. Mersad missile system equipped with Shalamcheh missiles has been successfully tested.
The mid-altitude Mersad missile system was successfully
tested using the home-made Shalamcheh missile on Saturday with Brigadier
General Farzad Esmaili, commander of the Khatam ul-Anbyia air defense base, and
a number of Defense Ministry officials.
The missile was tested on a drone which it successfully hit.
Esmaili stated "Mersad is a mid-altitude missile system
which, compared to foreign samples, is more powerful in targeting and following
objects, is able of electronic war, and enjoys a longer radar trajectory. It is
one hundred percent built in Iran.”
