Tehran, YJC. Iran is still waiting for Egypt to let through its humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif who was speaking in the sidelines of the NAM Palestine Committee convention on Gaza on Monday evening said that Iran is waiting for Egypt to allow its humanitarian aid flight.

He said "I have made to phone calls with the Foreign Minister of Egypt. Today Mr. Amir Abdollahian did a lot of talking with his Egyptian counterpart on the transfer of Iran’s aid. We hope that the Egyptian government cooperates on that.”

"Western countries have intercepted all sorts of action in the Security Council to deal with the Zionist regime,” he said.

Zarif added "What is obvious, the Security Council has not upheld its role. Due to the irregularities that have happened and the threats to Veto, it is necessary for the Security Council to stop leaving behind a more stigmatic record.”
