Tehran, YJC. The President has visited a defense industry exhibition on the 1st day of the Government's Week.
On the first day of the Government’s Week in Iran, President Hassan Rouhani visited the Aviation Industries Organization of Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics on Sunday.
The four new defense products were a UAV interceptor named Karrar 4, missile called Qadir, a sea cruise missile named Nasr Basir, and a photogrammetry UAV named Mohajer 4.
Upon arrival at the area where the defense ministry’s exhibition was set up, Rouhani was greeted by the Defense Minister Hossein Dehqan.
Rouhani praised the country’s defense industry for their achievements in the surface-to-surface missile technology.
We have started on the right footing in relation to drones and submarines, he said.
The president also noted "The Commander in chief appreciates your precious job.”
According to the defense minister, 91 universities of the country are engaged in research projects in cooperation with the ministry.
He added that 1300 companies outside the defense ministry also work on join projects with the defense sphere.
The defense ministry is also tapping into 6 thousand scientific elite and has organized over 3000 doctoral theses on defense subjects so far.
