OSLO, September 8 (Itar-Tass) - Norway does not intend to put its troops on alert near its border with Russia, Norwegian Deputy Defence Minister Oystein Bo said on Monday.
Nothing alarming is seen on the Russian side to be anxious about security of the northern borders, the official told reports of the Norwegian broadcasting corporation.

In late August, the Swedish Defence Ministry said its armed forces' general staff and intelligence services were placed on alert in connection with the situation in Ukraine, and Finland also announced higher readiness of its air force.
