Tehran,YJC. -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei checked out of hospital on Monday morning, a week after his successful prostate surgery, FNA reported.
The Iranian Supreme Leader went under a prostate surgery at a public hospital in Tehran last Monday morning. A few hours later surgeons said the operation had been successful.

Former Health Minister Dr. Alireza Marandi who is now a ranking member of the parliament's Health and Treatment Commission and also heads the Leader's medical team, said last week that like the other patients who undergone a similar operation, the Leader would be hospitalized for 3 to 5 days. "Then, he can return to normal life, but he should avoid a heavy working agenda for a few weeks," Dr. Marandi added.

Following the successful surgery, a hoard of regional and world leaders rushed to send messages to the Iranian Supreme Leader to wish him rapid recovery.

Leaders of different Palestinian resistance groups, including Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement Ramadan Abdullah Mohammad Shalah, senior member of Hamas' political bureau Mahmoud Zahar, member of the Central Committee of the Fatah Movement Abbas Zaki, foreign relations director of Palestine's Popular Resistance Committees Abu Mujahid, politburo member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) Jamil Mazhar, as well as a large number of the world leaders, including Azeri President Ilham Aliyev, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and leaders of Pakistan, Turkey, Kuwait and Lebanon, have sent congratulatory messages to the Iranian Supreme Leader on his successful surgery.
