Tehran, YJC. Iran’s Secretary of Supreme Security Council and Hezbollah Secretary General met in Beirut this week.

The trust that the Lebanese have in Hezbollah and what it does is the biggest asset which guarantees the expansion of Hezbollah’s range of activities to maintain Lebanon’s political equilibrium.

Shamkhani who also met the Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam stated that the Iranian army is going to give the Lebanese army a present which will be done during a prospective trip by Iran’s minister of defense to Lebanon.

He and the Lebanese leaders in these meetings stressed cooperation on fighting terrorism and refuted theatrical operations in dealing with regional threats.

Shamkhani arrived in Beirut on Monday evening and during his stay in Lebanon capital, met with Premier Tammam Salam, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri as well as Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah.

He told Lebanese officials Iran is ready for defensive cooperation and helping equip Lebanese armed forces with necessary weapons.
