Tuesday, 22 June 2021 (YJC) _ Iranian Government Spokesman condemned the US state department’s “interfering” position towards Iran’s presidential elections.

Gov. Spox. Deplores US Interfering Remarks on Iran’s ElectionsDuring his remarks on Tuesday, Iranian Government Spokesman Ali Rabiyee deplored the US state department’s “interfering” position towards Iran’s presidential elections.

He also advised the American officials to focus attention on their domestic affairs to improve the situation inside their own country.

His remarks were in regard to comment made by US state department spokesman who claimed that Iranians were denied “free and fair electoral process”.

“Such remarks are instances of interference in Iran's internal affairs and contradictory to international laws,” he said while adding that “The US government is not in a position and is not qualified to opine on the process of elections in Iran or any other country.”

Elsewhere in his remarks he noted that “Similar claims have been raised in criticizing the US elections, including by Democrats in 2000, and by Donald Trump, and his supporters about the recent presidential election (2020).”

He continued to advise US administration and said “We invite the US government to abandon arrogant interference in other countries’ internal affairs.”

Rabiyee also said the participation of the people was a big "no" to the election boycotters while noting that “The fans of boycotting the elections are those who also support the US' maximum pressure campaign against Iran,” and highlighted “Their plans have been foiled again by the Iranian nation.”
