Sunday,25 July 2021 (YJC)_Kuwaiti officials announced on Saturday that a US embassy officer had been killed in the country.
The Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas quoted a security source as saying that Kuwaiti officials were informed this morning of a body belonging to a US embassy employee.
The source said the man was working as a security guard inside the US embassy building in the Bayan area of Houli province.
He said security forces found him in the US embassy bathroom with a bullet wound to the head and a pistol next to him.
According to him, the guard who was killed was a 44-year-old Indian employee, and his body was taken to forensic medicine.
Further details of the incident are not yet available, and Kuwaiti or US officials have not commented.
