Tuesday, 24 August 2021 (YJC)_The seventh round of the Russia 2021 International Military Tournament with the participation of 43 countries, including Iran, started today in the Patriot Military Park in Moscow.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, who was the first speaker at the opening ceremony of the tournament, stressed the need for cooperation and convergence of friendly countries in the field of defense.
He said: "The establishment of these competitions will strengthen the strength and readiness of the military and the exchange of useful military experiences between the countries present in the competitions."
The opening ceremony was attended by Amir Sartip Shabanian, Deputy Coordinator of the Ministry of Defense, and Kazem Jalali, Ambassador of our country to Russia, high-ranking defense officials, as well as the participating teams. After Vladimir Putin's speech, the participating teams crossed the podium, and the seventh international military tournament, which will last 15 days, officially began.
The competitions are held in 34 disciplines and in addition to Russia, which is the main host of the competitions, Iran, China, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Serbia, Belarus, India, Algeria, Vietnam, Uzbekistan and Armenia also host some competitions.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has participated in these competitions with 12 teams and in addition to participating in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other countries, it is also responsible for hosting 3 disciplines of deep diving, sea cup and masters of weapons.
