Tuesday, 24 August 2021 (YJC)_ The Russian president ordered the construction of six warships, emphasizing Russia's powerful naval presence in important regions of the world.
The Russian president on Monday ordered Russian officials to increase the capacity of the Russian navy.
"We will increase the potential of the Russian navy, complete the naval infrastructure, install the most advanced weapons and equipment on ships and long-haul voyages, as well as display the Russian flag in strategically important areas," Russian President Vladimir Putin was quoted as saying by the Tass news agency. "We will continue in the world's oceans."
Putin went on to say that such important tasks reflect Russia's geopolitical position and its role in world affairs. In this regard, Vladimir Putin ordered the construction of six warships for the Russian Navy in three shipyards. Of these six warships, two will be nuclear warships.
Recently, at a naval parade marking the anniversary of the founding of the Russian navy in St. Petersburg, the Russian president stressed that Moscow is constantly and successfully developing its naval weapons and equipment and is able to identify any enemy and, if necessary, an inevitable attack on it.
