FMs of S.Africa, Tunisia, and Ireland Call for Expansion of Ties with Iran

Friday, 3 September 2021 (YJC)_The foreign ministers of South Africa, Tunisia, and Ireland sent separate messages to their Iranian counterpart and called for the expansion of mutual cooperation.

FMs of S.Africa, Tunisia, and Ireland Call for Expansion of Ties with IranIn separate messages on Friday, the foreign ministers of South Africa, Tunisia, and Ireland congratulated to their Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian his appointment to the post and called for the expansion of mutual cooperation.

South African Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor sent the message to announce her country's readiness to cooperate with Iran at bilateral, regional, and international levels and said “I seek to meet with Iranian FM within the framework of a joint bilateral commission to discuss the development of bilateral relations.”

In their messages, Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs Othman Jerandi, and Ireland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney, separately called for boosting bilateral relations with Iran.

Also today, Amir-Abdollahian had a phone talk with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in which he put emphasis on the implementation of the strategic partnership agreement with China.

For his part in this phone talk, Wang Yi stressed Chinese President Xi Jinping's determination for developing bilateral relations with Iran, and said “No developments or impediment in the international level can disturb relations between the two countries.”
