Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi traveled to Karbala on Sunday evening to hold a security meeting with pilgrims and security commanders in Karbala province.

According to the statement, al-Kadhimi said:
I am proud that today I am in the holy land of Karbala, the land of martyrdom and values, and I see this mass of believers who are facing the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and Hazrat Abbas (as).

The Iraqi Prime Minister said:
Serving the pilgrims, protecting them and facilitating their needs and providing any assistance to them is not a natural duty that you all have to do, but it is a great moral, human and religious duty.

He added:
With the cooperation and unity between the simplest citizen and the highest government official, we show the world an example of how the spiritual and religious values ​​of Iraqis are preserved.
