Monday, 4 October 2021 (YJC)_ In a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran described the growing relations between the two countries and expressed strong concern over the presence of the Zionists in the region.

Armenian Foreign Minister met with Amir-AbdollahianHossein Amir-Abdollahian said in a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart after the meetings between the two sides: We had good and constructive talks with the Armenian Foreign Minister.

He added:
Relations between Iran and Armenia are growing. In the last 20 days alone, three meetings have taken place between me and the Armenian Foreign Minister in Dushanbe, New York and Tehran.

Amir-Abdollahian continued:
At the same time, an important meeting between Mr. Raisi and Mr. Pashinyan took place on Monday, on the sidelines of the SCO summit.

The head of our country's diplomatic apparatus added:
The two countries' top officials agreed on various issues and strategic levels. Mr. Mirzoyan and I were tasked with drawing up a new roadmap for relations between the two countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country said:
Today, we agreed to develop our relations in economic, trade, cultural and tourism issues, in addition to political issues. Trade and operation of the Armenian transit route is one of the important issues of the two countries. In defining the transit and truck routes of the two countries, we have defined a project that will be implemented quickly.
