Tuesday, 5 October 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said the country’s "strategic patience" with terrorist groups in Kurdistan has come to an end.

FM Spox.: Iran's Strategic Patience with Terrorist GPs in Iraq Comes to and EndAddressing his weekly press conference Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said the country’s "strategic patience" with terrorist groups in Kurdistan has come to an end.

Khatibzadeh called on authorities of Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and also the Iraqi government to put an end to the counterrevolutionary acts that happens in the region.

“We have lost patience with terrorist groups in Kurdistan region, Iran will not allow their acts of terror to continue against the country,” he said while noting that that the presence of terrorist groups in Kurdistan is in violation of international law.

Elsewhere in his remark he referred to terrorist acts by anti-Iran groups in the Iraqi Kurdistan region and said “We tried to deal with such acts with strategic patience and tact to resolve this issue in its own way, however, this approach can no longer continue.”

 Khatibzadeh also highlighted the fact that “to see the presence of military bases by anti-Iranian terrorist groups near Iran’s borders is no longer bearable.”
