Thursday, 4 November 2021 (YJC)_ Russia's envoy to the Vienna talks said the new US administration should learn from the mistake of "maximum pressure", citing the policy as a way to advance Iran's nuclear program.

Russian diplomat: Maximum pressure has led to massive progress on Iran's nuclear programMikhail Ulyanov, Russia's envoy to Vienna-based international organizations, reiterated the failure of the US government's policy of maximum pressure on the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Reacting to some reports that Donald Trump may return to the US presidency in 2024 and repeat the withdrawal from any agreement with Iran, Ulyanov said on Thursday morning:
"Every new US administration must learn from the strategic mistakes of the past."

He wrote on his Twitter page:
Is it not clear that the maximum pressure led to a huge improvement in Iran's nuclear program? Are there still irresponsible politicians in the United States who want to repeat this catastrophic act (maximum pressure)?

On Wednesday evening, Ali Bagheri, the political deputy foreign minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, tweeted that the talks would be held in Vienna on November 29 (November 29) with the aim of lifting illegal and inhumane sanctions.

A State Department spokesman later claimed that if Iran was serious, it would be possible to reach a speedy agreement on the JCPOA in the seventh round of Vienna talks.

Russia's envoy to the Vienna talks has previously said that all the current problems with the JCPOA are the result of the policy of "maximum pressure" on former US President Donald Trump's administration.
