Tuesday, 9 November 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Army Commander warned enemies against threatening Iran's security and said that an unpredictable response is awaiting them.
In his remarks at the end of the Army's massive Zolfaqar-1400 wargames on Tuesday, Iranian Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi warned enemies against threatening Iran's security and said that an unpredictable response is awaiting them.
The Iranian Army in a ceremony early Tuesday wrapped up the joint military drills, dubbed Zolfaqar 1400, in Makran region in the Southern parts of the country after achieving all planned objectives.
The main phase of the Zolfaqar 1400 joint drills was started on Sunday with the Air Force's F-4 bombers destroying ground targets with optimized missiles.
In the ceremony to end this exercise, reporters asked General Mousavi whether Iran’s boosting of its military capability poses a threat to neighboring countries.
He replied “We are not people of aggression and invasion and it is vivid in our history. Defending our ideals and country are the only aims of our drills.”
He went on to say that “However our enemies should know that our response will not be limited to the borders, if any threat posed to our interests. We bring security to regional countries and our brothers.”
He also called Zolfaqar-1400 drills as “one of the most successful joint exercises of Iran Army” and added “Upgrading command and control systems, improving the quality and quantity of drones, and using smart bullets as well as successful evaluation of systems, tactics, methods, trainings and communications, and excellent coordination and synergy between the four branches of the Iranian Army were the most prominent features of the drills.”
He went on to refer to the countries who invite foreigners to their countries with the intention of borrowing security and said “History shows that foreigners will not bring lasting security to anyone, but rather, they only bring insecurity, dependence, misery, and abasement to the targeted nations.”
