According to Wafa News Agency, the letter states that former US President Donald Trump made many cruel decisions against the Palestinian people, including closing the US Consulate in East Jerusalem.
The Quds Committee of the Palestinian National Council stated that these decisions caused the suffering of tens of thousands of Palestinians in Jerusalem and various parts of Palestine.
The committee called on the chairman and members of the US delegation to visit Jerusalem to press Israeli officials to reopen the US consulate in East Jerusalem in accordance with the commitments of current US President Joe Biden.
The committee stressed in the letter that the Palestinian people could not accept any other place to reopen the US consulate other than its natural location in East Jerusalem.
