Tuesday, 30 November 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister announced that the country is seeking joint investment with Syria to expand exports to other countries.

Iranian Mining and Trade Minister: Tehran seeking joint investment with DamascusHeading a high-ranking delegation in his trip to Damascus, The Iranian Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Reza Fatemi Amin announced that the country is seeking joint investment with Syria to expand exports to other countries.

He said that “Iran and Syria have much in common in various aspects,” following his meeting with the Syrian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, and added “We must try to make the level of trade exchanges and cooperation even more desirable.”

“We agreed to expand cooperation on a variety of issues in the field of food and agriculture,” Iranian minister announced while noting that the economies of the two countries are interwoven and can be complementary.

He went on to say “We are looking for joint investments between Iran and Syria in order to export products from Syria to other countries,” while highlighting the fact that this can lead to the development of economic relations between the two countries.
