Iranian FM: Lifting Cruel Sanctions a "Fundamental Priority" of Vienna Talks

Friday, 3 December 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Minister said the top priority in JCPOA talks for Iran is sanctions’ removal.

Iranian FM: Lifting Cruel Sanctions a In a message on his twitter account, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said the top priority in JCPOA talks for Iran is sanctions’ removal.

“Vienna Talks proceeding with seriousness and sanctions removal as fundamental priority,” he wrote while adding that “Good deal within reach if the West shows good will. We seek rational, sober and result-oriented dialogue.”

In a relevant remark on Monday and while speaking to reporters after Vienna talks, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani, said the previous rounds of Vienna talks were only a “draft”.  

Also, in a separate remark, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that any agreement achieved in Vienna talks should guarantee implementation of the other sides’ undertakings based on the nuclear deal.

Amir-Abdollahian also said that “We have entered the talks in good faith and with seriousness, in spite of all non-commitment and inaction form US and European countries.”
