Saturday, 4 December 2021 (YJC)_ The US Secretary of State told a news conference on Friday that Washington was isolated in the international community by leaving the JCPOA.

Blinken: The United States was isolated by leaving the JCPOAUS Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Friday night that the United States, not Iran, was isolated in the international community because of its withdrawal from the JCPOA.

Speaking at a news conference, he said it was in everyone's interest for the Iranian nuclear issue to be resolved through diplomacy.

Blinken continued: ‌
We continue to believe in the path of diplomacy with Iran and a joint return to the nuclear deal.

The US Secretary of State further stated in a speech that showed the lack of seriousness of the US government in the Vienna talks:
What we have seen in recent days is that Iran has not been serious about what is needed to return to its commitments, and that is why we have ended this round of talks in Vienna.

US officials have repeatedly thrown the ball in Iran's court on various occasions, shrugging off Washington's responsibility for its obligations to return to the JCPOA, and have repeatedly talked about alternatives to the day the Vienna talks fail.
