Thursday, 9 December 2021 (YJC)_ In their telephone conversation, the Presidents of Iran and Turkey emphasized on joint and serious cooperation in the field of economy and the fight against terrorism.
In a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Seyed Ibrahim Raeisi said, referring to the need for cooperation between the two countries in the fight against terrorism:
The main way to fight terrorism is to respect the sovereignty of countries, and given the brilliant history of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fight against terrorism, we welcome the cooperation of all countries in the fight against terrorism.
Emphasizing the importance of Tehran-Ankara relations in the economic and trade fields between the two countries, Raeisi noted:
Soon, with the holding of a joint summit in Tehran, the development of cooperation will enter a new phase.
Referring to his recent meetings and consultations in the region, the President added:
We emphasize that the problems of the region must be resolved within the countries of the region with the active participation of the countries, and there is no need for foreign intervention.
In this telephone conversation, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of economy and security, and said:
