In this meeting, Amir-Abdollahian, referring to the meeting of the presidents on the sidelines of the ECO summit in Ashgabat, said that the will of the leaders of the two countries paves the way for the expansion and deepening of relations between the two countries:
The issues of cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the ways of its expansion should always be on the agenda of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country reminded the importance of cooperation in the field of transit and energy, and at the same time emphasized the continuation of this cooperation in other economic fields, including encouraging and expanding interaction and beep exchanges between the private sectors of the two countries.

The two ministers stressed the importance of continuing the work of the Joint Media Cooperation Committee.

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan called the meeting of the Presidents of the two countries on the sidelines of the ECO Summit in Ashgabat very important and called the talks and agreements between the two Presidents a roadmap for new relations between the two countries.

Jeyhun Bayramov called the cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan in the fields of transit and energy important and strategic, and assessed the cooperation in the field of international organizations and institutions, including ECO, as useful and forward-looking.

In this meeting, Amir Abdullahian invited his counterpart to travel to Iran. Welcoming the invitation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan stated that he would visit Tehran in the near future.

It was also agreed that following the ministerial talks, the political deputies of the foreign ministries would hold a meeting to review and evaluate issues related to the expansion and deepening of relations between the two countries.
