Supreme Leader Paid Tribute to Unidentified Martyrs of Iraqi-Imposed WarIn his message on Thursday, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei paid tribute to 250 unidentified martyrs of Iraqi-imposed war.

“The fact that their funerals coincidences with the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (SA) shows that their memory will last forever. Peace be upon the unknown martyrs; those unknown among the earth’s inhabitants but well-known in the heavens.” Supreme leader noted.

Ayatollah Khamenei finally noted “I send my greetings to the pure souls of these martyrs and to the waiting eyes and hearts of their fathers, mothers and wives, and I pray for the God’s ever-increasing grace and mercy for all of them.”

A large funeral is held by Iran in several cities for the 250 unidentified martyrs of the Iraqi-imposed war in the 1980s.

150 out of 250 martyrs will reportedly be laid to rest in Tehran and the remaining in 24 other provinces.
