Wednesday, 9 February 2022 (YJC)_ Stressing that there was no evidence that the Taliban had stolen aid to Afghanistan, the former British Minister for International Development said that the West was not helping the country because of a sense of humiliation after its defeat in Afghanistan.

Former British Secretary: The West is not helping Afghanistan because it feels humiliated after the defeatFormer British Minister for International Development Rory Stewart, referring to the current crisis in Afghanistan, blamed Western countries for the situation.

"The United States, Britain and NATO partners are to blame for this situation," Stuart told Sky News.
We built a government in Afghanistan and relied on international aid for 70% of its budget, so it was not possible to pay teachers without international aid, and medical staff could not continue to work without it.

He added:
We supported the whole economy of this country and suddenly we left in August, we left this country completely and now we have frozen the bank accounts of Afghanistan.

Stuart continued:
I feel that although politicians often say that the reason for the lack of more flexible aid to Afghanistan is the concern that it was stolen by the Taliban, there is no evidence of this.

The former Minister of the British Government stated:
The real reason for the lack of aid is that the West feels humiliated by the failure in Afghanistan.
