Wednesday, 9 February 2022 (YJC)_ A Spokesman for Iranian Parliament said that any agreements in the Vienna talks must lead to the economic breakthrough.
Speaking in a news conference to explain a closed session of Parliament held between lawmakers and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Spokesman for Iranian Parliament Presiding Board, Seyyed Nezameddin Mousavi said that any agreements in the Vienna talks must lead to the economic breakthrough.
“During the session, lawmakers emphasize that other sides in JCPOA talks must grant necessary guarantees to Iran, notably that the US will not withdraw JCPOA again,” Mousavi said.
He went on to say that the parliament lawmakers expect the Iranian delegation in Vienna to be aware that “If there would be any agreement between P4+1 and/or if international companies made investment in Iran, this should be accompanied by sanctions removal in order to make business with Iran at ease.”
“Any negotiation and agreement must secure national interests and general policies of the Establishment and also Law of Strategic Action Plan to Counter Sanctions and Protect Rights of Iranian Nation approved in the parliament. Any negotiation and agreement must lead to an economic breakthrough for Iranian people.” he noted.
