Wednesday, 2 March 2022 (YJC)_ Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said that Iran has focused on counter sanctions against the country.
Addressing a special meeting with a group of lawmakers on the latest developments in the Vienna talks between Tehran and the other parties to the 2015 Iran deal on Wednesday, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani said that Iran has focused on counter sanctions against the country.
“The need for a quick resolution of the remaining outstanding issues” were among the issues mentioned in addition to the progress made during the negotiations under the current administration, the existing challenges in Vienna, and the main priorities on the agenda of the Iranian delegation.
“Iran is trying its best to remove sanctions and our major strategy is to focus on creating mechanisms in order to render the sanctions tool ineffective,” he added.
The eighth round of talks on the removal of the anti-Iran sanctions in Vienna began on December 27 with the aim of removing all the illegal US sanctions and guarantying that the US will not leave the deal again.
