Monday, 14 March 2022 (YJC)_ The SNSC secretary says that Iran will remain in JCPOA Talks until a strong agreement achieved.

Shamkhani: Iran Remains in Talks until a Strong AgreementIn a message on his twitter account, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani wrote that Iran will remain in JCPOA Talks until a strong agreement achieved.

“All the apparatuses in the Iranian government - in spite of all propaganda - work hard to preserve and advance Iran's national interests,” he wrote.

Shamkhani went on to add that “We will remain in the Vienna Talks until we reach a "strong agreement" that meets all our legitimate and logical demands.”

Prior to this, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said the pause in the ongoing Vienna talks is an opportunity to focus on the agreement.

That was a reaction to EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell tweet in which he said that "a pause in #ViennaTalks is needed, due to external factors. A final text is essentially ready and, on the table, as coordinator, I will, with my team, continue to be in touch with all #JCPOA participants and the US to overcome the current situation and to close the agreement."
