Thursday, 24 March 2022 (YJC)_ Emphasizing that the message of the Kurdish-language video clip published by the Iraqi Resistance is a clear threat to the Barzani family, an American think tank reported on the coordinated intelligence operations of the IRGC and the al-Nujaba Movement during the missile attack on Erbil.

The Washington Institute Claimed: IRGC and al-Nujaba coordinate intelligence in Erbil missile attacks/ The Resistance’s Kurdish-language clip a ‘clear threat’ to Barzani governmentAccording to the website of the representative office of al-Nujaba in Iran, in an analysis by its senior expert Hamdi Malik, The Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP) described the release of a Kurdish-language video clip by the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement as an attempt to overthrow the Barzani family.

The author claims that al-Nujaba has clearly targeted the legitimacy of the authorities of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, “Just three days after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ missile attack on Erbil, the al-Nujaba Movement released its first Kurdish-language video clip, seeking to escalate tensions with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), claiming that the Barzani family has taken the people of northern Iraq hostage by providing a base for Mossad.”

According to the website of The Washington Institute, the rulers of Iraqi Kurdistan have been rebuked in the video clip published by al-Nujaba for “betting on a wrong horse”; From the ill-fated alliance with Saddam Hussein that led to the genocide of the Kurds, to the alliance with the United States and Israel, which, according to the al-Nujaba, will lead to nothing but betrayal and misery for the people of Kurdistan.

Claiming that the al-Nujaba Movement has threatened Erbil with more attacks in harmony with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hamdi Malik noted, “The clip mentions that the ‘Kurdish nation’s anger towards the ruling oligarchy became clearer than ever last year.’ It seems that the al-Nujaba Movement aims to pave the way for the expansion of the influence of the Islamic Resistance groups in the Kurdistan Region under the pretext of solving the problems of the people of the region.”

Analyzing details from different parts of the clip, such as recalling the help of martyrs Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis to helping the Peshmerga in their fight against Daesh, al-Nujaba’s constant defence of Kurdish people’s legitimate rights and treating the people of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah the same as people of Basrah and Nasiriyah, the American think tank continued, “The main message of al-Nujaba’s clip was that it was time to change the status quo.”

In conclusion, The Washington Institute repeatedly emphasized the threat of the message of al-Nujaba’s clip, calling it a clear threat to the stability of the areas under the control of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, adding, “The release of the clip coincides with the missile strike carried out by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, signalling a coordinated intelligence operation to put pressure on the Kurdistan Democratic Party to moderate its position in favour of Iran and Shi’ah Resistance groups in the process of forming a central government and electing a president.”
