The meeting was attended by Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi, Iran's deputy national security adviser, and the head of Saudi Arabia's intelligence service, the website of the Russia-Alium network quoted an unnamed source as saying.

He added that the two sides agreed on the end of security talks and the transfer to diplomatic talks.

The source added that the sixth round of talks between the Iranian and Saudi sides is expected to take place in Iraq, and that the recent meeting was positive and that a series of issues related to the settlement between Tehran and Riyadh were agreed upon.

According to the source, the meeting lasted several hours, after which the Iranian delegation went to visit religious places, but the Saudi delegation left Baghdad a few hours later.
