Monday, 23 May 2022 (YJC)_ Hezbollah's deputy secretary general, referring to the March 14 decrease in the number of deputies in the new parliament, said that 77 deputies agreed with the resistance against the Zionist enemy.

Hezbollah: 77 members of the new parliament agree with the resistance against IsraelHezbollah's deputy secretary general, Sheikh Naeem Qasim, told Al-Manar that Hezbollah's relations with its allies are not limited to parliamentary elections and that it has always cooperated with them.

He further clarified:
We do not want a parliamentary majority and we do not work on the basis that the majority is for us. The remnants of the March 14 election had 47 members in parliament and now have 36, and this is a clear setback.

Sheikh Qasim added:
If the parliament is based on who agrees with the resistance against Israel and who does not, 77 deputies agree with the resistance against the enemy.

Hezbollah's deputy then said:
We have relations with independent moderate representatives and non-embassy Shiite groups and organizations. As Hezbollah in the October 17 movement, we did not betray anyone except those who are connected to the embassies, and it is the right of everyone to express their pain.

Sheikh Qasim clarified:
As Hezbollah, we are comfortable and we believe that Hezbollah has been successful for us and the modem. The people we lost are temporary. A number of other delegates will be in the national lineup after the meetings and talks with them.

While announcing his support for Nabih Berri's candidacy for the two-dimensional presidency of the Lebanese parliament, he called on other groups to support his candidacy.

Sheikh Qasim continued to support the formation of a national unity government, saying that it would be difficult for the country to prosper without a national unity government.
