Saturday, 11 June 2022 (YJC)_ Friday Prayers Leader said the recent IAEA’s anti-Iran resolution failed attempt to pressure Iran in Vienna Talks.
Addressing a congregation of people at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla, Tehran's provisional Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ahmad Khatami said the recent IAEA’s anti-Iran resolution failed attempt to pressure Iran in Vienna Talks.
“The recent anti-Iran resolution at the IAEA Board of Governors was to force Tehran to give concessions during the talks in Vienna,” he said while noting that the resolution was failed and the country will remain loyal to the ideals of its revolution.
He referred to the visit of the IAEA director general Rafael Grossi to Israel, and said “This anti-Iran resolution came after the visit which was to coordinate the attempts to approve the resolution."
In a meeting of the IAEA’s Board of Governors an anti-Iran resolution, drafted by Britain, France, Germany, and the US has been approved.
In reaction to that, the Iranian foreign ministry named it as political, unconstructive and wrong and noted “Such steps will have no results than weakening Iran’s cooperation with the agency. A hasty and unbalanced report by the IAEA director general made such a resolution, Iran blasted the resolution drafted by the US, Britain, France, and Germany as a wrong, political and unconstructive move.”
Also, Iran’s Acting Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency Mohammad Reza Gha'ebi named the recent resolution against the country as a heavy blow.
In a separate remark, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that the western states failed to force Iran to recognize the Zionist regime.
