Tehran, YJC. Afghani trade official says Iran's share of exports to Afghanistan markets is around 2.5 billion dollars, much below the hypothetical $5 to $6 billion.
آead of Afghanistan Commerce Affairs Office of the Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) of Iran said Farhad Mojallali said that Iran holds two to three exhibitions in Herat and Kabul cities of Afghanistan thanks to the various potentials we have in Iran.
Mojallali speaking on Friday said that the total volume of Afghanistan's imports from various countries is ten billion dollars a year.

"We do sponsor exclusive fairs were these potentials of our country are introduced, the biggest share is given to construction and foodstuffs in them and the last of which will open on Feb 16 and close on Feb 20 in that country,' he said.

Speaking in light of a great list of factors shared by the two countries, he also said "I believe Iran can increase its share of the Afghan markets' imports up to five to six billion dollars,”
Mojallali said that Afghanistan is in the process of becoming industrialized and produces a small portion of its needs today.

Mojallali also noted that some merchants are obsessed with insecurity concerns and said that it is not as acute a problem as it is believed to be by the outsiders and elaborating on the issue can lead to the broader presence of the Iranian merchants in Afghan markets.
