Tehran, YJC. Iranian industry minister says that the country Iran is the biggest exporter of cement across the Middle East.
Industry, Mine, and Trade Minister Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh says that Iran's cement production is much beyond its domestic consumption.
"Iran is the first in ranking in exporting the product to the Middle East," he stated.
The minister who was speaking in a meeting to investigate production problems in Damghan, Semnan on Thursday stated that 30 cement production units are under construction across the country.
He pointed out that the 30 projects have had 20 percent physical progress in construction.
In the preset year, due to insecure situations in one of our neighbor countries, our export of cement has deminished, he said.
The minister called for the private sector which is in control of the cement industry to boost their production.
Speaking about the cement factory under construction in Tooye Darvar county, he noted that the project is underway without banking facilities and only throuh fund from share holders.
In the meantime, he stated, the National Development Fund can help the factory in case of a problem so that the project is not shut down.
