Tehran, YJC. Diplomats from Tehran and P5+1 countries have once more engaged in nuclear talks one day before deadline.

Iran and group 5+1_ five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany_ settled for another round of talks on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program one day before the deadline they have set for arriving at a political understanding over the case.

The talks are being held in Lausanne, Switzerland and started at 9:00 local time.

Besides foreign ministers from the negotiating sides, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini is attending the talks.

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier speaking before the meeting asked Iran to show more flexibility in order for a deal to be reached.

I am not paid to be optimistic, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov when asked about how high his optimism is over the talks.

Reuters reported that Tehran had indicated a willingness to cut the number of centrifuges it uses to fewer than 6,000, thereby slowing its program, and to send most of its enriched uranium stockpiles for storage in Russia.

Yet, senior Iranian negotiator Abbas Araqchi told reporters dispatching stockpiles abroad "was not on Iran's agenda".
