Iranian supreme leader’s representative on Hajj Affairs Ali Ghazi-Askar said the country received Saudi official letter of invitation for holding bilateral talks on Hajj pilgrimage in the next Iranian calendar year (which starts on March 21, 2017).
"Grounds will be provided for attending bilateral talks with Saudi Hajj officials,” he said.
Ghazi-Askar said the context of this letter of invitation is not quite different from previous ones, and the Islamic Republic of Iran will send its reply in coming weeks considering the intended topics.
He also called for speeding up activities of experts committee to determine topic of discussions and intended points for Iranians’ Hajj pilgrimage.
The Iranian official continued that all issues related to Hajj pilgrimage, including accommodation, nutrition, medical issues, transportation and safety of Hajj performers, banking and consular issues should be discussed and appropriate solutions should be found out.
Caretaker of Iranian Organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage Hamid Mohammadi said that an Iranian delegation would be sent to Saudi Arabia for talks, adding the discussion would focus on demands of Islamic Republic of Iran, including martyrs of Great Mosque of Mecca and Mina.
