TEHRAN, April 3, YJC - Astana experts meeting on Syria is to be held in Tehran on April 18-19 following agreements made in Astana II conference convenved in Kazakhstan early March.
The 4th round of Astana talks on Syria is scheduled for May 3-4 in Kazakhstan.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Countries Hossein Jaberi-Ansari led the Iranian delegation in the past three rounds of Astana talks.
Representatives of Iran, Russia and Turkey are attending Astana conference monitoring and guaranteeing ceasefire in Syria.
The previous rounds of Astana talks were held respectively in January, February and March.
The nationwide ceasefire in Syria, which was brokered by Russia and Turkey with the support of Iran in December 2016, has been the extended version of an earlier truce that ended years of fighting in Aleppo and put the strategic city back under Damascus control.
