Iran rejects reports on Saudi plane violating airspace
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - "No Saudi plane has entered Iranian airspace,” said Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi.

He further said last Thursday, a Saudi aircraft carrying manager of a Russian oil company took off from Dammam airport in Saudi Arabia to Russia. The plane has already received permit from Iran since it was carrying common passengers.

The plane further changed its course after entering Iranian airspace, announcing that it was going to head to Kyrgyzstan since it lacked fuel to reach Moscow, he noted.

It then announced that it would go back to Saudi Arabia because it refused to land to Iranian airports for refueling and secondly it was impossible to issue a new permit for that flight at that time, Qassemi said.

He continued that Iran has not been involved in the plane’s entrance and exit of the country’s air space.
