Tehran, YJC. The Iranian national team manager has said that Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement will plague international football.

The Portuguese manager of the Iranian national football team said in praise of the former Manchester United manager "He was a unique character whose retirement will cause the international football to slip down in the year ahead.”

Carlos Queiroz believed that because of Ferguson’s retirement football around the world will decline in quality and will rather look like a no-ball game.

He added "It will take the international football much time to adapt. Ferguson was a unique character. If he got angry he was really angry. A good thing that can be said of him is that he held a lot of responsibility and dignity for his team and his players, and he always kept it.”
