TEHRAN, September 10 - Iran’s General Inspection Office and Kyrgyzstan’s Ombudsman signed a MoU at the closing ceremony of 2017 Ombudsman international conference held on the organization’s role to improve legal measures on human rights.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The two countries have already cooperated in Asian Ombudsman Association, International Ombudsman Association and ECO Ombudsman organizations.
The MoU has been signed to boost quality of inspection and control and considering popular complaints in executive systems of the two countries.
The two countries also going to focus on bilateral cooperation on Ombudsman activities, exchanging expertise and information on Ombudsman activities, exchanging delegates to share experiences on Ombudsman activities and holding mutual relevant meetings, circles and summits.
2017 Ombudsman international conference was held in Kyrgyzstan on September 6-8 and was sponsored by UNDP, OSCE and Ombudsman representatives from Austria, Russia, Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Latvia, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and representatives of the UN, EU and IOI secretary general.
