TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - In a meeting with a delegation of Iranian economic activists led by Head of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce Gholam-Hossein Shafei, the Ukrainian official stressed boosting bilateral tourism ties with Iran, and said, “Iran with its attractive nature and rich cultural heritage is an important country for Ukraine, and we are willing to develop bilateral tourism interactions with the country.”
During the meeting, Shafei, for his part, said Iran supports foreign investment.
“AT the moment, there are $200 billion defined investment projects in Iran. We are facing a new opportunity with will of the two sides to play our role in the economies of the two countries.”
Shafei also inaugurated Iran’s specialized exports products exhibition in Ukraine in a ceremony.
The Iranian trade delegation arrived in Ukraine on Saturday to discuss bilateral cooperation in energy, agriculture, small and medium-sized businesses, transportation and transit.
Iranian economic activists, representative of Iranian Trade Promotion Organization, chairmen of Alborz and Qazvin chambers of commerce, Head of Iran-Ukraine chamber of commerce and a number of lawmakers are among 30 individuals who have headed to Ukraine.
Several trade delegations from Ukraine have visited Iran so far.
