Tehran, YJC. Activist says that in case elections are to draw to the second round Qalibaf will no doubt be one side of the competition.

Abbas Abdi, a Reformist, said "I believe that if Reformists and Mr. Hashemi step forward and if either Aref or Rohani steps down for the other, under the best circumstances they can be the winner. Under worst situations they will get to the runoff with another candidate which will very probably be Qalibaf, but it is highly expected that there the candidate endorsed by the Reformists will win.”

He added "If the Reformists are not active and they are to go on as the previous days, then two candidates will find way to the runoff, one of which will be Qalibaf and the other cannot be decided yet for sure. But if that other person is a Reform candidate then we will have a lively round of elections.”

He added "I believe that if the Reformists make consensus on either one of these two and the other one resigns in his favor, chances for the remaining candidate to win will be high. So, the Reformists’ chances of victory depend on their actions in the couple of days ahead.”
