Heidarpour said in an interview with Mehr News Agency regarding the election of
Rouhani as Iran’s 11th President "In the
international sphere,
people voted for one who likes peace not only in the domestic arena, but does
so at the international level as well.”
Heidarpour stated "For his being the Supreme Leader’s representative in the Supreme Council on National Security, people chose one with strong relations with the Leadership.”
He pointed out that during the debates, Rouhani showed that he is for developing relations with the world, adding "His statements on job creation and inflation problems were also what people demanded, so they voted for him.”
