Iran, Armenia sign MoU to expand cooperation in various fields

TEHRAN, October 9 - Iran and Armenia signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) to expand mutual cooperation in scientific, medical technology and cultural domains.

Iran, Armenia sign MoU to expand cooperation in various fieldsTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The documents were signed in presence of Iranian First Vice-President Esha’aq Jahangiri and Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan here in Tehran.

Iranian Vice President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari, Armenian Minister of Economic development and Investment Suren Karayan, Iranian Minister of Agriculture Mahmoud Hojjati and his Armenian counterpart Ignaty Arakelyan, Iranian Minister of Culture Abbas Salehi and his Armenian counterpart Armen Amiryan signed the MoU respectively on science, agriculture and culture.

The two sides are going to support mutual scientific cooperation and facilitate exchange of technology and now-how between companies and institutes of Iran and Armenia.

They also pledged to provide the required educational and research infrastructure, hold joint seminars, workshops and conferences and exchange scientists on nano-technology.

They also agreed to establish a joint cooperation committee to pursue annual scientific and technological cooperation.
