Tehran, YJC. The Grand Ayatollah says that no force must be used to integrate Islam into people’s lifestyle.

A leading scholar of the Qom Seminary of Islamic Teachings Grand Ayatollah Abdolkarim Mousavi Ardabili in a meeting with representatives of the President-elect held in his office on Saturday evening asserted "The fact is not closed to anyone that all, inside and abroad, are happy for the election of Hojatoleslam Rouhani. I do not think, and do not know of, anyone who would object to that and say it would have been better if somebody else were elected.”

He then said "It is necessary that Islam is introduced into the texture everybody’s life and that all be interested in Islam. I hope that with a cleric as President that would come about.”

"Of course it does not mean to torture and incarcerate people, religion must rather be promoted in the proper way,” he asserted.

Ayatollah Ardabili also pointed out that there exist many problems that must be raised, adding "All know that the country’s economy is paralyzed and we are under economic pressure and prices are heavy. But there are other problems as well, of which people are ignorant, and which I think would better be disclosed to people so that expectations addressing the government do not surpass its abilities.”

The high-ranking Seminary teacher said "Authorities must lay grounds for releasing the prisoners as they know best. They must act regarding the traumata in an expedient way.”
