Tehran, YJC. The Oil Minister has condemned what he calls the politicization of the gas market by some countries.

The Oil Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Rostam Qasemi said in a meeting with Gas Exporting Countries Council that the Council does not face the real end users of gas, adding "The message of this gas council to the end users is that it stands by them to act in a win-win game within mutual interests.”

He asserted "In a stable market where with timely, needful investments there is ample, timely delivery and demand security for the deliverers, both sides will enjoy the situation, on the contrary a market with huge fluctuations in prices or unfair prices will benefit no one.”

He stated that on some occasions, political behavior by the users leads to the politicization of the market, where no side will benefit and only energy security will be damaged.
