TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Joan Torrents is in Iran to make the arrangements for the conference.
“Iranian economy holds many potentials and opportunities and we have decided to hold a conference to introduce chances of investment in Iran.”
“Representatives of companies working in car manufacturing, minerals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and European banks have been invited to the conference. Many of these companies have announced readiness to attend the event.”
“We hope that we can make the first strong step in line with further interactions between Iran and the world given world large companies and economic holdings are interested in presence in Iran.”
Asked about US President Donald Trump’s remarks against the nuclear deal, he said, “Economy is a global issue and many of investors do not make their destiny intertwined with personal positions of Mr. Trump. As the EU has said it would continue interactions with Iran.”
He said that presence of large companies in the upcoming conference in Iran would send a message to the world that these large companies and global investors would ignore personal positions of Trump.
The conference is scheduled for November 25-28 in Tehran.
