TEHRAN, November 8 - Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said expanding ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the priorities for Georgia.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Georgian Parliament is ready to activate bilateral ties between Tehran and Tbilisi, he said in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Georgia Javad Ghavam-Shahidi.
He also said exchanging economic, political and scientific delegations between the two sides reiterates their will to expand bilateral cooperation.
Ghavam-Shahidi, for his part, called for boosting the volume of current transactions between Iran and Georgia.
He also expressed hope that grounds would be provided to use extensive potential of the two sides in business and investment through expanding mutual financial and banking cooperation.
