TEHRAN, November 10 - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif met with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The two sides discussed ways to expand bilateral ties, especially in economic and scientific fields.
They also conferred on expanding mutual cooperation in transit, energy, holding a trilateral work group on railroad transportation among Iran, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan and fighting against terrorism.
Zarif also hailed holding Iran-Uzbekistan joint economic commission in December.
Zarif started his tour to Central Asia on Wednesday. He first visited Tajikistan and then headed to Uzbekistan for a conference on sustainable security.
