Saderat Bank sanction to be lifted soon

Tehran, YJC. CEO of Saderat Bank has said that the EU General Court verdict removing sanctions will soon be finalized, removing sanctions previously imposed in the bank.

ISNA reports that the CEO of Saderat Bank Mohammadreza Pishro said that the bank has managed to maintain control over affairs even when under sanction, making some progress to improve its share of the country’s banking market as much as one percent.

Pishro asserted that there is no evidence in the European court against Saderat Bank, adding "The verdict to remove sanctions from the bank has been issued once in the European Union General Court in favor of the bank and it will be finalized soon.”

He stated that Saderat and Mellat banks will be free of sanctions and said that the EU General Court’s verdict issued in favor of Saderat Bank needs more defense, which is currently underway.

He pointed out that some freedom is granted to Saderat Bank in the United Arab Emirates and stated that the bank has carried out its duties in overseas branches.
